About the project
The bicycle,
documented.
Fireroads is a structured reference encyclopedia for the modern bicycle. It exists because good technical information about bikes is scattered, inconsistent, and hard to find in one place.
Our goal is a single, accurate, and permanently free resource — covering geometry, components, standards, and materials in the depth they deserve.

Core values
How We Work
01
Precision
Every measurement, standard, and specification is documented exactly as defined by the relevant body or manufacturer. Approximations are labelled as such.
02
Completeness
From frame geometry to drivetrain standards, hub shells to headset interfaces — the goal is full coverage of the modern bicycle, not just the popular parts.
03
Clarity
Dense technical material is broken into plain language without losing accuracy. Diagrams, dimensions, and cross-references keep complex topics navigable.
04
Open Reference
Fireroads is a free public resource for riders, mechanics, designers, and engineers. No paywalls, no accounts — just the information, accessible to everyone.
